Teresa Whitley, owner of Furry Feet Retreat of Cary, is a foster mom for several Second Chance Pet Adoptions rescue dogs. The foster dogs living with Teresa and her pack have the best of all possible worlds under the circumstances. They are well socialized with other dogs, benefit from the years of professional experience provided by Teresa, and are well exercised as they are frequent doggie park visitors in Furry Feet's very own backyard!

Teresa's experience as a dog trainer and and pack leader have served her well in her volunteer role. Her patience and understanding of dog psychology has truly given many dogs a real second chance at life.

Chiquita       Chiquita, like her name implies, might be little, but she is filled with love and a ton of personality! Chiquita is a long-legged chihuahua mix that is a recent addition to the pack. Check back soon for more about Chiquita!

 

New Beginnings

Loki       Loki, an adorable 12-pound, 5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix, has packed up his doggie toys and moved into his forever home! He stole the heart of his new human on their first date, and they've been inseparable ever since. Loki promises to visit the Furry Feet Retreat doggie park often and let us know how he's doing.
