Rescue Organizations

Furry Feet Retreat sponsors a number of Rescue Group events each year, including events associated with the following rescue organizations.

		Best Friend Pet Adoption (BFPA) BFPA is a no-kill animal rescue organization based in central North Carolina. BFPA has no building, office, or shelter; it is an all-foster network committed to helping dogs and cats in need of homes. Individual donations are BFPA's most important source of income as it receives no public funding. Visit BFPA: http://www.bfpa.org

		Community Support, Advocacy, Rescue/Rehabilitation, Education (C.A.R.E) C.A.R.E. For Animals is a non-profit, all volunteer animal welfare organization. C.A.R.E's rescue/adoption program focuses primarily on rescuing animals from area shelters, providing them with safety and rehabilitation in a caring foster family setting, with the goal of adopting them into loving, responsible, and permanent homes.

		Marley's Cat Tales (and dogs too!) Marley’s Cat Tales works through a foster network throughout the Triangle area. FIV positive felines from all over the state, especially eastern North Carolina, are channeled through this division with much success finding forever homes. We are a dedicated group of volunteers with common goals: rescuing animals, finding the best fitting homes for each animal, and educating the public on animal health and responsible pet ownership. 		Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue, Inc. Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue Incorporated is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding permanent homes for golden retrievers in need. The mission of NRGRR is to find these Goldens homes where they will be cherished and loved, treated as a welcome addition to your family. NRGRR is managed and run by volunteers whose efforts are dedicated to preserving the breed.

		Second Chance Pet Adoptions Second Chance Pet Adoptions is a non-profit animal rescue organization that has served homeless cats and dogs of Wake County, North Carolina since 1989. Second Chance's mission is to rescue abandoned and stray cats and dogs, provide excellent care for each pet and match each pet with the best home for its needs, in order to ensure a long lifetime of safety, love and companionship. Second Chance also encourages responsible pet ownership through education, advocacy, programs and services.
